Diagnostic testing
Please find below the link to the revised diagnostic test for your use in assessing student entry level for all CIM qualifications.
The test is shorter than those previously used and focuses on knowledge and competences as defined within the recently revised Professional Marketing Standards. It is essential that the test is managed by the accredited (ASC) study centre and used alongside the CIM entry criteria published to ensure the learner has the most appropriate information, advice and guidance (IAG) to make an informed decision when undertaking formal learning with CIM and engaging in the CIM professional pathway.
We are currently working on allocating a personal identification number (PIN) to each learner test this will be used to track the learner journey through the early information search stages through to the point of choice of study centre. As soon as this is available we will send you a revised link and protocols for use.
In the interim please send the link to the learner and recommend / schedule a discussion with them once they have completed. CIM recommends ASCs provide all learners to be assessed with a timed period in which to complete the test, for example, arranging the test to be completed and results returned within a pre-arranged three hour window.
As we are all aware it is critical to the learner experience and the success of the revised qualifications that they enter at the correct level and go on to succeed and would ask you to support that process through constructive discussion.
Please note the CIM Diagnostic Test is only one method of assessing learners on to an appropriate level of study, therefore CIM takes no responsibility for the lack of achievement or success of the learner following assessment with this test.
